I got the following error if I don’t use “default” database schema on Windows 32 bit ODBC driver:

SQLSTATE: HY000[Hortonworks][HiveODBC] (68) Error returned trying to set hive as the initial database: Error while compiling statement: FAILED: SemanticException [Error 10072]: Database does not exist: hive; Also tried quoting the database name hive but the query failed with the following error: Error while compiling statement: FAILED: SemanticException [Error 10072]: Database does not exist: hive
Any ideas?
