Reply To: Error: HDP 2.1 Installation nagios-plugins-1.4.9-1.x86_64 failed

Any update on this issue? I have encountered the same problem.

It seems to me like the “requires” in the nagios-plugins package is badly formed.


[root@compute000 ~]# yum deplist nagios-plugins
Loaded plugins: product-id, security, subscription-manager
This system is not registered to Red Hat Subscription Management. You can use subscription-manager to register.

So why would libssl.so.10 and libcrypto.so.10 each be listed twice in the dependencies? And in each case, one dependency can be satisfied and the other cannot.

By the way, I tried to get around this by installing the nagios-plugins package with rpm -i –nodeps, but then when I retried the installation in the web UI, it just failed again in the same way. Apparently part of the installation was removing the already-installed package?
