Reply To: Ranger user-sync with LDAP authentication – error

Hi guys,

I’m also struggling with ranger and ldap (Freeipa) ..

The error I receive is :

ERROR UserGroupSync [UnixUserSyncThread] – Failed to initialize UserGroup source/sink. Will retry after 21600000 milliseconds. Error details:
javax.naming.AuthenticationNotSupportedException: [LDAP: error code 48 – Inappropriate Authentication]

I guess it comes from my ldap parameters in the install.properties file but I can’t figure out what’s wrong ..

How do you determine the values for:
SYNC_LDAP_BIND_DN
SYNC_LDAP_BIND_PASSWORD
SYNC_LDAP_USER_SEARCH_BASE
SYNC_LDAP_USER_SEARCH_SCOPE
SYNC_LDAP_USER_NAME_ATTRIBUTE
