Unable to ssh into sandbox to use tutorials

I’m using VMWare Fusion with my Hortonworks Sandbox 2.2. I was able to import it successfully, although it takes a long time for the VM to come up.
Anyways, the VM is up and I can get to the site:http://192.168.12.128/

Now, I am trying to follow the tutorial and I cannot get to either the website link they gave me:http://192.168.0.1:8000/
nor can I even ssh: $ ssh root@192.168.1 -p 2222;
ssh: connect to host 192.168.1 port 2222: Operation timed out
