confwhitelist.append not working in hdp 2.2.4

Hi,

I need to add properties to the hive.security.authorization.sqlstd.confwhitelist because i get the “Cannot modify my.property.id at runtime. It is not in list of params that are allowed to be modified at runtime.” error. However, when I run set -v in the Hive CLI, I can see hive.security.authorization.sqlstd.confwhitelist.append=my\.property\.id|my\.property\.id2|… I set it with Ambari, on the Custom hive-site properties page. This setup worked for me with HDP2.2.0 but fails on HDP2.2.4. Is anything changed in the whitelist handling?
