Reply To: Good Hadoop/Ambari Instructions

Hi, I too am looking for some help building a cluster. I have reached the point of setting up the ambari server. However, JAVA will not install and I cannot get past that point.
My setup:

1. Single Windows 7 Host
2. Three CentOS 6.x Virtual Machines 20GB each
3. Host only network with VMs successfully communicating
4. Bridged network with VMs able to reach outside my network.

I have reviewed the Hortonworks instructions and the Hadoop Guide and they both fall short.
