This is what was needed.

Indeed in the hive-site.xml was

<property>
<name>hive.security.authorization.manager</name>
<value>org.apache.hadoop.hive.ql.security.authorization.plugin.sqlstd.SQLStdConfOnlyAuthorizerFactory</value>
</property>


and in the hiveserver2-site.xml was

<property>
<name>hive.security.authorization.manager</name>
<value>org.apache.hadoop.hive.ql.security.authorization.StorageBasedAuthorizationProvider</value>
</property>


after I set in hiveserver2-site.xml hive.security.authorization.manager = org.apache.hadoop.hive.ql.security.authorization.plugin.sqlstd.SQLStdConfOnlyAuthorizerFactory it works fine.
