I’m new to this. I’m trying to set up a small cluster (5 nodes) using Ambari. This is on Centos7, with the current versions. I’ve checked that I have passwordless ssh logins from the master to the slaves. The firewall is off. Installation went fine. If I start (from root) the server, and then the agents, the ambari-agent logs indicate successful registration. I then browse to the master host, port 8080, and try to create a cluster, listing all 5 nodes. All goes well until I reach the ‘Confirm Hosts’ page, which hangs with blue progress bars for all the nodes, and no entries in the Registration Logs for any of the nodes. There’s nothing being written to the agent logs except heartbeat notifications, and the server log contains only polls, and directory requests for /var/run/ambari-server/bootstrap/1 (or 2), neither of which exist.
The last item seems the oddest – the bootstrap dir doesn’t exist either. Anyone run into this?
