We are planning to setup a new Hadoop Cluster in a Virtual Environment. We have checked that this is possible as long as the OS to be used is supported. However for the disk storage ,we have no physical disks (RAID, JBOD) available to be used. We have an option to use the normal virtual storage (VMware storage) but we are not sure if this is possible since it was also not mentioned in Hortonworks site as we checked.
Can you confirm if this one is possible ? If yes, would there be an impact to the whole cluster? Thanks!
