Hortonworks Sandbox with Virtual Box

I am a graduate student who is having issue when with Hortonworks Sandbox with Virtual Box. I have downloaded this application on my MacBook Pro. I have followed all the steps.Once I get to step 7, I am having MAJOR issues. once I press start, the console window opens displaying the boot information! the virtual machine fully boots but it just stops at starting resource manager. my whole computer freezes every time it gets to that! I was trying to provide a screenshot on here, so someone can see what I am talking about. ! I need help ASAP! PLEASE RESPOND
