Change IP addresses on exising cluster

I have a 6 node HDP 2.1 cluster running nicely as an internal labs development environment. Our IT admin wants to change the IP addresses of all 6 machines to move to a new subnet (sigh) ar part of a larger machine room reorganisation.

HDP installed via Ambari, though have also installed Hue. The host OS is Centos. (Aside: wish this was included in the HDP 2.1 non-sandbox install).

There is separate local DNS server on another machine. The DNS/machine names will not change, only the IP addresses associated with each DNS name.

Previous experience on non-Hadoop system have show that changing IP addresses on a working multi-machine is rarely trivial.

Any outline of the places I will have to change where the IP addresses may have been embedded by the standard Ambari HDP 2.1 install welcomed.

I am aware of the basic host changes needed to change IP address, for example as listed in second part of this document: http://www.thegeekstuff.com/2013/10/change-hostname-ip-address/

Best,
