HDFS Service check fails while upgrading to HDP2.3

I’m in the process of upgrading to HDP2.3 from HDP2.2 with these issues: (Ambari 2.1.2)

– HDFS service check fails with this message
resource_management.core.exceptions.Fail: Execution of ‘ambari-sudo.sh su hdfs -l -s /bin/bash -c ‘curl -sS -L -w ‘”‘”‘%{http_code}'”‘”‘ -X GET ‘”‘”‘http://0.0.0.0:50070/webhdfs/v1/tmp?op=GETFILESTATUS&user.name=hdfs'”‘”‘ 1>/tmp/tmpUBg8du 2>/tmp/tmpiQ8943” returned 7.

– Ambari Admin/Stack and Versions/Versions shows that I have installed HDP-2.3.0.0-2557, which is what I used in hdp-select set all. However, I also have a box showing HDP-2.2.3.0-2611 showing Upgrade: In Process. This was a previous failed attempt that the interfase seems to be stuck on. I suspect there is an inconsistency in the ambari db that is causing that?

Can you guide as how to fix the Ambari Versions UI and also give me an idea of how to fix the HDFS Check Status test?

Thanks
