I have a newly installed OpenStack Hadoop cluster running HDP-2.2.4.2-2 but unfortunately it does not come with Hue.
So I’ve been following the instructions at http://gethue.com/hadoop-hue-3-on-hdp-installation-tutorial/ and looking at the official Hue installation guide at http://cloudera.github.io/hue/docs-3.9.0/manual.html#_install_hue
I have downloaded hue 3.9.0 and have successfully done the “make install”. At this point, I should have all the ingredients ready to configure.
I would like to have an appropriately configured user “hue” on my Linux server in the cluster, in this case I’m installing on the server where Ambari is installed.
Would appreciate any guidance anyone has on how to set up and configure user “hue” and I’ll then use that user to do the rest of the configuration steps.
