Hello Brian,

Is this on a fresh start of the sandbox or was any work on done? The namenode definitely should come up on startup, if it doesn’t then that’s a problem.

If it’s a fresh import you can try re-importing it to check if the problem persists. If you’ve done work on it and/or the problem persists at re-import, please try to find the the error in the namenode logs and post it here.
