I’m having the same issue. I suspect it might be because I’m on Centos 6.5 with has a default python of 2.6.6, which is less than the minimum as defined here: http://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/HDP2/HDP-2.1.5/bk_installing_manually_book/content/rpm-chap-hue-1.html
