I have four ubuntu-12.10 machines on which I want to deploy hadoop cluster using apache ambari. Configuration for hadoop cluster is as below,
1) Machine 1: NameNode
2) Machine 2: Secondary Name Node
3) Machine 3: DataNode
4) Machine 4: DataNode
Queries :
1) Does Apache Ambari extends its support for Ubuntu 12 and above ? If yes, please let me know the link which I need to follow for deploying of above hadoop cluster and installation steps link
2) I want to use Hadoop 2.5.0 version and above for deployment, let me know how can I select the version of hadoop to be deployed
3) Can we install apache ambari on windows and deploy the cluster on ubuntu, provided that all the machines are able to ping each other ?
