I am installing HDP alongside Mesosphere, just setting up a development environment, and I was wondering if HDP 1.3 is still being developed. I saw over on the Apache site that the Hadoop 1.2.x line is the current MRv1 release, while of course the Hadoop 2.2.x version which is in HDP 2.2 is the most current MRv2/YARN release.
I don’t want to use Hadoop 2.2 because I’m using Mesos as my resource scheduler, but I still want HDFS, HBase, Hive and MRv1. My question is whether or not HDP 1.3 is pulling in the latest 1.2.x releases from Apache, or if it’s depreciated.
Also, if anyone has any advice on integrating Mesosphere with HDP 1.3 I would love to hear it.
