I’m working on a client project at the moment where HBase is serving as our data platform. To do this, I’ve written a Java application that wraps HBase Java API methods in a REST API (As using the HBase REST API itself is a bit obtuse). In the next phase of the project, we’d like to deploy this application within the Hadoop cluster and secure it with Knox. I’ve read things suggesting that custom services can be added to the Knox gateway but very little in the way of documentation and examples for how this can be done. Do you have any pointers or resources for me to check out?
